Custom made in England by industry pioneers Hiscox, this case features their world renowned Litelite construction — a super-tough 1.5mm outer shell, moulded handle, form fitted, velour lined interior, aluminium valance and secure four-point closure — and is embossed with the classic Bass Centre "Fingers & Thumbs" logo.

Hiscox Liteflite construction consists of a moulded, high impact resistant, Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS) plastic outer shell, bonded directly to a form-fitted inner moulding. ABS, due to its unique balance of properties, produces mouldings which posses superior strength, durability and rigidity over a wide temperature range.

The interior, manufactured from a proprietary blend of polyurethane insulating foam developed by Hiscox, is feather-light but, being semi-rigid, provides a high level of shock-resistance. The unique bonding of the inner moulding to the outer shell provides matchless structural integrity and enormous crush strength resistance (up to 500kg) as well as excellent thermal insulation.

The case lining is completed with a deep-pile, velvet plush fabric bonded directly onto the shaped foam moulding (without secondary adhesive) giving a neatly tailored, luxurious feel and a snug, secure fit.

The aluminium valance of the case edging is unique to Hiscox, its design not only increasing the strength of the case, but also ensuring a positive location of base to lid when the two halves are closed. Unlike any other case available on the market, the valance extends deep inside the case behind the plastic shell, into which all the hardware (handles, catches, hinges etc.) is riveted. This method of fixing greatly reduces the possibility of fittings working loose.
