This fully upgraded, second generation version of the popular Bass Cub delivers 100 watts of pure tone in a “shoebox” size package that is so light it can almost be lifted with one finger yet, amazingly, comes fully equipped to deliver serious quality sound.

Two years of intense R&D by the Phil Jones Bass team has resulted in a vastly superior iteration of this diminutive combo, with greater transient attack, improved loudspeaker cone acceleration, enhanced dynamic range, and lower harmonic distortion. The amplifier design also has an upgraded power supply able to provide a rock-solid stable voltage and current to feed the amplifier. But the wizards at PJB didn’t stop there; they have also developed an enhanced loudspeaker, specially engineered for the Bass Cub II that gives a wider and smoother frequency response using their unique “Chrome-Dome” technology.

The new Bass Cub has an exciting, wilder character, like putting a turbocharger on an engine. It will free your bass playing with greater increased headroom and speed to capture every nuance of your playing — whether it’s gentle fingerstyle or hardcore slapping.

Two independent channels can accept two instruments (or a bass plus microphone), with an additional stereo input for a drum machine or smartphone/MP3 player. For ultimate versatility in any practice or performance space, you can use the internal speakers, headphones, or pair the Cub II with a PB-300 250W active cabinet to create a powerful 350 watt stack.
